Bob Carmichael is renowned in the Pacific Northwest for his expertise in water rights and natural resources law, real estate, and municipal law (see the bio below). He recently spoke at the BIAW "Home and Lifestyle Show" on April 5th, in Lynden. He's addressed county council with clarity about complicated major issues, and he's spoken to NWBC in the past.
Now that thousands of county citizens have begun receiving water rights adjudication summons, he's agreed to take time from his busy schedule to explain what water rights are in straightforward terms, and the goals and function of the current WRIA 1 adjudication.
Bio: Carmichael practices in land use planning and permitting, water law, municipal law, and real estate. He represents property owners, businesses, water and sewer districts, and municipalities on land use, water, real estate, and environmental issues. Bob is an experienced and creative problem solver, effective in litigation, and has a strong record of success in helping clients reach their objectives. He helps clients with transactions and in matters before city and county governments, hearing examiners, state boards, and in court. Bob joined the Whatcom County Prosecutor’s Office in 1984 where he served as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in both the criminal and civil divisions, before joining Simonarson, Visser, Zender, & Thurston (a predecessor to Carmichael Clark) in 1992.
Club members' guests are always welcome - bring a friend, business associate, or neighbor. The doors will open officially at 11:30 am.
